It is with deepest regrets I must inform you that at 5:30AM, Monday February 18, 2002 after a long and courageous battle with bone cancer Bernice Busch passed away. Lou, her husband, would like you to know that she put up a valiant fight and she was relentless to the end, as many of you know who played with Bernice. Each of us will remember Bernice in our own way, but I think you will all agree that her love of playing horseshoes, her lively spirit, her generosity, her warm nature, her humour, her wonderful personality and most of all that unique laugh will be missed by all. Bernice was a two time Canadian Ladies Champion (1996 and 2000), as well as 5 time B.C. Provincial Ladies Champion (1993-1994, 1996, 1998 and 2000). Bernice was born September 17, 1943 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Survived by her husband Lou, three sons, 5 grandchildren as well as brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews
