Talbert (Tal) Severson - Summerland
1990 Inductee

Tal's Accomplishments:
Tal began pitching horseshoes competitevly in 1974. Since that time he has won over 100 trophies in tournament play.

Most prominent among those wins are:
B.C. Men's Provincial Champion 1979, 1988, 1989.
Senior Men's 40 foot Provincial Champion 1985.
B.C. International Men's Champion 1980, 1982, 1984, 1987, 1988 and 1993.
B.C. International Senior Men 40 foot Champion 1987.
Five time gold medal winner - B.C. Summer Games.

Tal competed in the Canadian Championships on three occassions. One of his cherished memories is that of competing against Elmer Hohl - the world champion.

Tal's ringer percentage was always above 60%.

A good sport and a keen competitor.
