Sam's Accomplishments:
Sam was elected to the Hall Of Fame as an Organizor-Promoter.

Sam started pitching as a junior in 1969. He has represented the Central Park Horseshoe Club as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, Tournament Director and President.

Since the early 1970's has represented the B.C. Horseshoe Association in various positions - Vice-President & Treasurer(1983-1995) and President since 1995. Sam has been Tournament Director for the B.C. Championships and B.C. International.

Provincial Statistican since 1984 - Introduced the computerized shoes program along with John Hasell - Assisted in setting up Rules/Regulations for running of the B.C. International and B.C. Championships - Newsletter Editor for the Ringer Round-Up - Driving force behind the need for a National Stats Centre for Horseshoe Canada (Canstats organized in 1996) a postion he still holds today - Created a website for the B.C. Horseshoe Association (along with Steve Summerlin and Duane Goodrich) which he still maintains and keeps up to date on a weekly basis.

Sam has won the Provincial Men's "B" Class once and finsihed 2nd. twice. He was close to a 50% player prior to his days before executive duties. Sam is known for his outstanding organizational skills. He enjoys the company of people and tries to answer as many questions as possible.

Sam is a dedicated member and tireless worker for the sport of horseshoe pitching.
