1968 B.C. CHAMPIONSHIPS HOSTED BY THE GREATER VANCOUVER HORSESHOE CLUB CENTRAL PARK, BURNABY, B.C. SEPTEMBER, 1968 Bob Blunt of Vancouver averaged 58.7% in ringers, winning 8 games and losing 1 to capture the 1968 British Columbia Open crown in that annual meet which was held over the Labor Day weekend on the Central Park courts, Burnaby. Meet was hosted by the Greater Vancouver Horseshoe Club. Blunt's only loss came at the hands of Gene Pfliger, Murray Rayner, the defending champion lost to Blunt and Pachita, finishing in the runner up spot with a new B.C. ringer percentage for the tournament of 62.5.
